These are some of the highlights of this tour:
Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle
On this tour you will explore the mysterious Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Urquhart witnessed considerable conflict throughout its 500 years as a medieval fortress and its history from the 13th to 17th centuries was particularly bloody. From there, try to catch a glimpse of Loch Ness' elusive monster!
Your journey takes you through the picturesque capital of the Highlands of Scotland, Inverness.
The name Inverness comes from the Scottish Gaelic "Inbhir Nis” meaning the mouth of the River Ness. In Inverness you have about an hour to explore the most beautiful sights and do some shopping.
The journey continues on to Clava Cairns, a group of three Bronze Age cairns located near Inverness. A hugely significant and exceptionally well preserved prehistoric site, Clava Cairns is a fantastic example of the distant history of Highland Scotland, dating back about 4,000 years.
Glen Ord Distillery
Last stop before heading back to the port is in Muir of Ord where you can visit Glen Ord Malt Whisky Distillery for a behind-the-scenes tour followed by a tasting of the end product.
